Privacy Policy

1. Information you provide

Depending on the features you use, OnHand Kitchen may process information you enter or choose to share, such as recipe names and text, recipe photos, serving and cooking preferences, Community profile information, recipes you publish, follows, Chef Hats, saves, and support messages.

2. Account and service information

We may store technical identifiers and service records needed for account recovery, synchronization, Community features, recipe storage, planning, and reliability. Subscription purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

3. AI-assisted features

When you use features such as recipe creation, photo-based recipe creation, translation, or other AI-assisted functions, the content required to perform that request may be sent securely to service providers that process the request on our behalf. Only use photos and text you are comfortable sending for processing.

4. How we use information

We use information to provide requested features, save and synchronize recipes, operate Community functions, restore access, improve reliability, prevent abuse, provide support, and meet legal obligations.

5. Sharing

We may share information with service providers that host, store, deliver, or process OnHand Kitchen functionality, and with Apple for App Store and subscription services. Public Community content is visible to other users according to the feature you choose. We do not sell personal data.

6. Retention and deletion

Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain legitimate records, or meet legal requirements. You can permanently delete your OnHand account directly in the app at Profile → OnHand Account → Delete OnHand Account. Confirmed deletion removes the account and associated cloud data, including profile information, cloud recipes and stored recipe covers, Community publications and activity, and Plan and Shopping data. Deleting an OnHand account does not cancel an Apple subscription; subscriptions are managed separately through your Apple Account. For other privacy or access requests, contact us at onhandkitchen@icloud.com. Some limited records may be retained when legally required.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

OnHand Kitchen is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children below the minimum age permitted for independent use of online services in their jurisdiction.

9. International processing

Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such processing.
